Detection Setup [DVR FLEX4/8/16]
[This note applies to all
ICR Flex series DVRs]
Note: In
the picture, the number represents the step number in the walkthrough.
Step 1: Power up the system and wait till its
done booting.
Step 2: Login to the main menu from your system by
pressing “Enter” or “Menu” on the unit’s key pad. Default Admin users include:
“888888” and “admin”. The passwords for these users are the exact same as the
user names are spelled
Step 3: While at the main menu, highlight and press
enter on the “Config” icon. Now click on the “Record”
button.
Step 4: While in the “Record” menu you have to select
each channel for which you want to setup motion detection (MD) on. To select
all channels for MD, choose “ALL” in the drop down box. Now choose which day of
the week you want MD to be active. To select everyday of the week, choose
“ALL”. Now under record type select the record times that you want MD to be
active at. If you want it be on all hours of the day, be sure “Period 1” is set
from 00:00 to 24:00 and the MD check box is highlighted. Make sure when you
have the MD box highlighted, the regular and alarm box aren’t highlighted since
this will cause a conflict in your recording. Once everything is done the way
you want it, navigate down to save and press enter.

Step
5: You should now be back in to the “Config” menu.
Highlight and select the “DETECT” icon.
Step 6: In this menu you can select the type of
recording on each channel, select the region on which the MD is active at,
change the sensitivity of the MD and various smaller details pertaining to MD
and alarm settings.
Step 7: First select a channel to begin with the
settings (again you can select “ALL” to choose all the channels for the same
settings). Now go down and select the “Region” select button. Here you can
choose specifically where you want the channel to watch for motion. You can un-highlight
each cube on the screen to have it not look for motion
in that spot. To highlight or un-highlight a specific spot on the region, press
the “F1” key on your DVR. If you leave the region as is, it will look for
motion across the whole screen.
Step 8: Next you can select the sensitivity of how
cameras react to detecting motion in your region. The higher the number, the
more sensitive it is. You will have to change the sensitivity if for some
reason the motion is not being detected by the camera.
