Video Balun/UTP Transceivers/Receivers Quick Install Guide

[This note applies to all ICR Flex series DVRs]

Step 1: Make sure to turn off power on all CCTV equipment that you will be using with the video baluns.

Step 2: Be assured that all UTP (unshielded twisted pair) cabling in which you will be running for the cameras are all marked for which camera you will be using it for so that you do not cross connect any existing runs. Labeling individual runs will help organize the install.

Notice: If utilizing data ports (or switches) for your run(s), be sure not to confuse devices belonging to the other end of that port. Using video baluns with un-approved devices could result in damage of the foreign device or video balun.

Step 3: Video baluns operate in pairs of wires so be sure to read the video balun’s instructions on which wires are paired from your UTP cabling.
